Printing
Iotech Business center is here to offer fast, affordable solutions to your agency's digital and printing needs. We can handle your printing needs from start to finish. Through various forms of printing procurement, we are able to get agencies the best quality for the best price on any print request all while saving them time on self production. Our center will also provide special printing needs for photographs.

Scanners
Our scanners scan exclusively at 600 dpi (the resolution of the printer). Limited
touchup can be done at the printer. These touchups include:

Resizing
Rotating
Copying
Cropping
Overlaying photos (transparency)
Masking (covering up a portion of the picture)

It is not uncommon for a customer to label their documents with numbers where
they would like to have photos placed. They number the backs of their photos
accordingly, place them in a shoebox and bring them to us to scan into the
document. Please remember to leave room for the picture in the document.

Lamination
Soft Lamination:
Soft lamination is a thin plastic overlay bonded onto a document. We have soft laminators in three different widths: 18", 25", and 36".
Semi-hard Lamination: Semi-hard lamination is thicker than soft lamination but thinner than hard lamination. We only stock one size: 9" x 11½".
Hard Lamination:
Hard lamination is thicker than the soft lamination and therefore much more durable. We only stock one size: 4" x 6". Your document must be that size or smaller.

Binding

Coilbinding
Coil binding uses a spring-shaped spiral plastic. Available sizes range from ¼ to 1 inch thick.
Advantages: Durable, pages can freely turn 360 degrees. Coil bound books lay flat when opened. Looks nice.
Disadvantages: Although unlikely, might uncoil with use.

Comb Binding-Cerlox
Cerlox is a good low-cost binding. It is a plastic comb that fits into specially punched holes. Allows a comb bound (Cerlox) book to lay flat for easy reading. Available sizes range from ¼ to 2 inches in thickness.
Advantages: Low cost, documents can open flat, quick turn-around time, pages can be added or taken away.
Disadvantages: The plastic Cerlox comb is breakable and might be damaged in a hot car. Not as durable as coil binding.

Tape Binding
The process binds the document using a strong cloth tape and heat melted glue. This kind of binding is known for its strength. Book will not lay flat when opened. Available sizes range from ¼" to 1 ½" thick.
Advantages: Low cost, very quick turn-around time, stacks flat, nice presentation.
Disadvantages: Only available in black. Not as durable as coil binding.

Velobind
Velobind is the most durable binding we offer. Plastic spikes firmly bind books together in sizes ranging from ¼ to 3 inches thick for soft covers
Advantages: Very durable, soft covers available. Looks very professional.
Disadvantages: Does not open flat.

Standard Copies
Iotech copy centers can copy in black and white on standard sizes of paper such as letter (8½" x 11"), legal (8½" x 14"), and tabloid (11" x 17"). Paper is available in a variety of colors and weights. Remember that the quality of the originals will control the quality of the copies. We have state-of-the-art equipment, but it can not overcome all quality issues. Paste-up lines may show up on your copies if items are not firmly secured.
